to view the Barracca Gardens that command a breathtaking panorama of the Grand
Harbour and then to St. John’s Co-Cathedral, adorned in riches that date back
to the times of the Knights of Malta including the world famous Caravaggio
painting that is on display in the Oratory of the Cathedral.
We also visit the Church Museum that is adorned with Flemish tapestries.
After we will also view from the outside the Grand Master’s Palace and
other buildings of historical importance. Lastly we stop at the Malta
Experience, a multivision show that depicts Malta’s history throughout the

A half day tour to the old capital of Mdina. During our walk in the silent city,
we visit the cathedral and the imposing bastions which allow us to admire a
panorama of most of the island. Later we proceed to Dingli Cliffs. Finally we

Today’s excursion takes us to the central part of Malta that is dominated by the
ancient citadel of Mdina. On passing through the narrow streets of Mdina, the
‘Silent City’, we will admire the imposing bastions that command a magnificent
view of most of the island. On leaving Mdina, through the ‘Greek Gate’ we stop
at the catacombs before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli. After lunch, visits
to the botanic gardens of San Anton and the impressive dome of Mosta’s Parish
Church are included besides the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali, where you are given
time for shopping.

Tour
to Malta’s sister island of Gozo. After a twenty-minute crossing, on setting
foot in Gozo you will notice that although both islands are similar in history
and development, Gozo has a character entirely of its own. Gozo, which is a
three hilled island, is greener and more picturesque than Malta. During this
excursion, we visit the Azure Window at Dwejra, the citadel in Victoria, the bay
of Xlendi, and the Gozo Heritage, where whilst walking amongst historical carved
figures you will discover the fascinating stories of the Goddess Calypso;
speculate about missing treasures and examine the elaborate sculptures which
together with the sounds, smells and special lighting effects will take you back
in time. Free time for shopping will also be given: Gozo is renowned for its
woolen goods and handmade lace

Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicua.A drive past Cospicua will bring us to
Vittoriosa where we walk through the various narrow streets shaded by many

‘fregatina’ for a tour of the famous harbour creeks. In Senglea we have a
look from the beautiful ‘vedette’ placed in the centre of the Grand
Harbour

Gozo with a difference; as seen during sunset
when you can appreciate the serenity and natural beauty of
Malta
’s sister island. Our guide will unveil the history about its first
inhabitants when we stop at the megalithic temples of Ggantija. We then tour the
ramparts of
Victoria
where you are surrounded by the colour of Gozo’s hilly countryside. As the
day comes to an end we descend to Dwejra, famous for its hanging Azur Window.
Here we capture the last rays of light as the sun disappears below the horizon.
Dinner (included) is served in one of the island’s restaurants before we return to
Malta
towards midnight.
Sunday – Extended Half Day – Blue Grotto & Marsaxlokk Market

Explore one of Malta’s few unspoilt villages in the south of the island.
Together with our guide you will be led to a maltese pjazza along winding narrow
streets where progress did not leave its mark. We proceed our tour with a visit
to the Blue Grotto and the other Grottoes from close by. Boat Price not included
– weather permitting. Lastly we will visit the main fishing village of
Marsaxlokk whose waterfront is lined with ‘luzzus’ painted in traditional reds,
blues, and yellows that add colour to this peaceful bay once the site of the
first Turkish landing during the Great Siege of 1565 where you will be given
free time to spend browsing around the local market stalls.
Friday – Full Day – Hagar Qim, Limestone Heritage and Local
Lifestyle

Excursion to the south of the island. We commence our tour with a visit to
an insight of Maltese history. Bringing old and new together we enjoy an
extensive feature within a modernized quarry that explains one of Malta’s
foremost trades of quarrying and stone decoration always using the limestone
that gives its name to this spectacle called ‘The Limestone Heritage’. We
proceed by a visit to the most complex and elaborated temples of Hagar Qim,
Malta’s foremost prehistoric site, which were excavated for the first time in
1839. These temples stand on a hilltop where one can admire the breathtaking
view of the sea and the islet of Filfla. Leaving Hagar Qim we proceed to Wied
iz-Żurrieq where you can take a boat trip that will allow you to admire the Blue
Grotto from closeby. (Boat fee is not included – weather permitting). After
lunch, we tour past varied agricultural land and vineyards up to the idyllic
fishing village of Marsaxlokk whose waterfront is lined with luzzus painted in
traditional reds, blues and yellows that add colour to this peaceful bay once
the site of landings by both the Turkish and French troops during Malta’s heroic
past. Time will be given to browse around the well known local market held daily
in this village. Our day comes to an end when you will be guided through the
cave of Ghar Dalam, one of the first habitats of these islands. (Lunch is
included in the price of the tour).
Sunday – Evening – The Village Festa Price EUR 23

June - September
Between June & September every village in Malta holds its main event of the
year – the village festa. It’s a mixture of folklore and religion and is held in
honour of the patron saint of the village. This tour includes a guided
explanation of the parish church which is especially decorated for this annual
event. Then we offer you to match the climax of this festa, when the statue of
the patron saint which has been carried in procession during the evening will be
brought back to the church. The statue is accompanied by the village band while
ariel fireworks are let off, thus bringing an end to the week-long festivities.
The village streets are decorated with banners, fairy lights, and statues. This
is also a good opportunity to meet and mix with the villagers celebrating the
festa. It’s an event not to be missed.
